What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you plan to arrive after 9:00 PM, please send us a message through WhatsApp at +351 926 473 223 and we will give you instructions on how to collect your key outside of these hours.

Are sheets and towels included?

Sheets are included in all reservations, and if you need a towel, we can rent one for you.

Are there lockers in the rooms?

Yes, each bed has its own individual huge locker. You'll need to bring your own lock.

We offer coffee and tea to help you start your day off right.

Does OPA hostel have a kitchen available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, oven, stove, toaster and electric kettle, so you can prepare your own meals. If possible, you can also use the grill on the patio :)

Can the washer and dryer be used?

For logistical reasons, the washer and dryer are for the exclusive use of the hostel; but we can point you where to do your laundry ;) Also in the patio there is a special area to wash and hang out your stuff.

Unfortunately, we do not accept pets in the hostel.

Yes, we offer fast, free Wi-Fi throughout our facilities.

OPA Hostel offer rentals, activities, or transportation?

No. If you'd like to try activities like surfing, kayaking, biking, SUP, surf ski or foiling, we can help you connect with local guides, instructors, and companies to promote regional employment along the Rota Vicentina. We do not offer rentals or transportation.

How long does it take to get to the points of interest?

The main street with various supermarkets, banks, restaurants, shops, and cafes is just 1 minute away. The historic center is 2 minutes away, the bus station 5 minutes away, the ferry 6 minutes away, and the beach 8 minutes away.

For now, we only accept payments in cash or through authorized platforms.

Is there public transportation to get to Vila Nova de Milfontes?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there are daily buses, with less frequency on weekends, operated by Rede Expressos, Rodoviaria, and Flixbus, connecting Milfontes with Lisbon, Sines, Odemira, and other destinations in the Alentejo and Algarve. OPA Hostel is located 5 minutes from the bus station.

Yes, in the patio you can safely store your bike or board.

You are not allowed to enter with people who are not staying without first consulting with the staff.

Spring and autumn have the most pleasant temperatures, the quietest streets to experience Alentejo life, the most inviting beaches, and, of course, the best sunsets.

During high season, the first trip departs at 8:30 a.m., with variable frequency depending on passenger traffic. There is a phone number at the docks on both shores that can be called to request a ride.
